Rainy Days and Polish Words
Yesterday and today have been rainy, cold, and filled with polish words. Our two week intensive language course is over in two day and tomorrow is that day of our exam. Pani Anna (an-na-na) (meaning Mrs. Anna) told us that we shouldn't worry much about the test, and that's it's more of a big quiz just to get an idea oh what we've learned. She also said that she is very proud of us all and that we've done well with learning so much in such a short amount of time. She is very understanding in that it's impossible for us to learn everything given the sheer amount of information as well. Tonight we will be reviewing the massive amount of vocab and trying to understand the grammar concepts. In Fridays class Pani Anna will be sending us out into the city for a short amount of time so that we can practice our Polish in the real world. Most likely I'll end up at a bakery, using my Polish to order a pastry :) Sam, Darcy, Scott, and I are buying Pani Anna a bouquet of fresh flowers in the morning too, as a thank you gift for being a wonderful teacher. Possibly we'll take a picture with her as well. Unfortunately I don't have any new pictures to show you but next week will be filled with many from our travels in Budapest and Vienna. Best wishes to everyone back home!
