Gate 14 in Dulles

I made it through TSA and to my gate with plenty of time to spare. It seems like my flight will be full. They'll start boarding us soon I hope. I believe a Sochi athlete is on my flight, if she's close enough I might try to talk to her. I doubt I'll have wifi on the plane but I'm hopeful. Not too much longer until we take flight, my next post will likely be much later once I have settled into the apartment in Poland. Goodbye, America, see you in five months!

On a side note I won $51 on scratcher tickets on the way to the airport, so that was nice :)

The night before takeoff

I'm all packed up and ready to go! I doubt I'll sleep much tonight but that's completely fine with me, I would rather be exhausted and able to sleep on the plane. I have a nine hour flight to Moscow and then a short connecting flight to Poland, which doesn't sound too bad except that I'm not terribly fond of flying. I can't quite believe that I leave tomorrow though, it just doesn't seem real yet. However on the bright side, the less real this seems, the less scary it is.

Three days to takeoff!

Three days left!! My thoughts keep switching from those of excitement and those of nervousness and I can help but feel that I'm completely unprepared. Hopefully the feeling of being unprepared will subside after I've finished packing, but it's just so hard to actually make progress. There's still so much left to do and so much time left to not do it. Or to forget. Everything will eventually get done before Thursday and then the only thing standing between me and Poland is a 9 hour flight with an extremely short layover in Moscow. Woo!

This is Scott and I, two sophomores at the College of William and Mary going on a five month study abroad journey in Poland. This blog will be our updates, pictures, and videos from the trip and our way to keep in contact with everyone back home. We hope you enjoy it!
